Former ZANU PF Chivi South legislator Killer Zivhu has issued a stern warning to members within the ruling party allegedly plotting against Vice President Constantino Chiwenga, saying they underestimate the resolve of a soldier.

Zivhu’s remarks come amid rising tensions within ZANU PF, with loyalists of President Emmerson Mnangagwa reportedly intensifying efforts to vilify Chiwenga. Former Norton legislator Temba Mliswa recently accused the Vice President of being linked to corruption scandals dating back to the late President Robert Mugabe’s era, including the alleged disappearance of over US$15 billion.

Posting on his X (formerly Twitter) account, Zivhu cautioned those targeting Chiwenga.

“To those who don’t understand soldiers, let me help you: it’s not the size of the dog that matters in a fight, it’s the fight of the dog in that size that matters. To those who want to play with soldiers, be warned,” Zivhu wrote.

His comments have added fuel to speculation about internal power struggles within ZANU PF, as factions jostle for influence ahead of the 2028 elections.
