HARARE – Robert Mugabe Jnr, the son of the late former president Robert Mugabe, was arrested this week on allegations of drug possession and spent the night in custody at Harare Central Prison.
According to police sources, Mugabe Jnr was stopped at a checkpoint after reportedly driving erratically. Officers said a search uncovered three sachets of dagga in his pockets.
He was taken into custody and appeared before the Harare Magistrates’ Court on Thursday morning. His court appearance attracted large crowds, with many curious onlookers gathering outside the courthouse.
