Cardi B and Nicki Minaj have been “the drama”; the rappers have had an ongoing feud since 2018, but it was recently reignited when they had a back-and-forth war on X (formerly Twitter).
The two rappers recently went on a three-day squabble; the posts were mostly subliminal, even though it was quite painfully obvious to everyone.
The online feud began on Monday, September 29, when Cardi B publicly announced that her latest body of work, “Am I the Drama?” went double platinum.
The album earned double platinum certification by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) on Monday, just 10 days after the album’s release.
“Am I The Drama?” hit number 1 on Billboard 200 this week, shifting 200 000 units in its debut week with 146 million streams.
Cardi B posted a series of scathing tweets after Minaj claimed that the sales of “Am I The Drama” were inflated.
Dear Onika Tanya Maraj,
This my last time responding to you because this past Twitter now.. I gotta see you… but first ima tell you truth.. You said out your own mouth that the lil girl in you haven’t forgave your mother yet and that’s because your mom used to stay silent when…

“Why you keep bringing up my album?? It’s not the gag that you think it is..You been in the game like 16 years.. you need to compare yourself to YOUR peers that started around YOUR time. Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Drake… those are the numbers you need to be competing with and you can’t because you are doing lower than all of them,” she wrote.
Things have taken a turn for the worse; the mothers have since dragged the children into their hot mess, and it’s gotten ugly.
The feud reached new lows when the two started taking shots at each other’s families. Cardi B lashed out at Minaj by referencing her struggles with fertility in the past, while Minaj fired back by mocking Cardi B’s children.
What started as a spat over sales and charts quickly spiralled into personal territory, leaving fans shocked at just how far both rappers were willing to go.
Remember when TMZ broadcast to MILLIONS that there was a petition signed by my neighbors to kick us out? Remember it turned out to be a lie? That’s a felony… @TMZ your number has been called. That’s going to cost you BIG MONEY. @POTUS clean this shit up.

They have both deleted most of the posts involving the children; however, the gossip blogs have them plastered all over social media.
After viral jabs, Cardi B finally dropped what she described as her last word on the matter. Writing directly to Minaj using her government name, Onika Tanya Maraj, she posted a lengthy message that sounded more like a final statement than another jab.
“This is my last time responding to you because this is past Twitter now.. I gotta see you… But first I’m gonna tell you the truth..” Cardi B wrote, before accusing Minaj of refusing to seek help for her issues.
She also brought up Minaj’s husband, claiming he fuels her behaviour instead of holding her accountable.
Cardi B closed the statement by saying she refuses to let the back-and-forth ruin her endorsements and career, signing off with, “I’m not throwing away my career and my endorsements going back and forth with words with a possessed drug addict.. I’LL SEE YOU WHEN I SEE YOU.”
Despite that declaration, things did not cool down. Minaj continued to fire off posts, this time roping in media figures like TMZ’s Harvey Levin and Gayle King
Meanwhile, Cardi B doubled down, calling Minaj a “crackhead” and claiming she had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and schizophrenia years ago, while warning her to keep her child’s name out of her mouth.
The beef that started in 2018 has had its peaks and pauses, but this latest round is the most explosive yet.
