LAS VEGAS — Cardi B has confirmed she is expecting her fourth child, announcing the news just days before the release of her long-awaited second studio album and months ahead of a major arena tour.
The Grammy-winning rapper shared the update during a CBS Mornings interview with Gayle King, ending weeks of fan speculation. “I feel very strong and powerful doing all this work while I’m creating a baby,” Cardi said, praising her partner, New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs, for his unwavering support.
The baby is due before the February kickoff of her Little Miss Drama tour, which will follow Friday’s release of her sophomore album, Am I The Drama? Cardi admitted the looming rollout brought moments of anxiety. “Two weeks ago I was literally having a panic attack,” she recalled, adding that harsh criticism of her music has at times made her hesitant to release new work.
Cardi and Diggs were first linked in October 2024 and made their public debut at a New York Knicks playoff game this past May. She revealed she initially resisted a new relationship, but Diggs convinced her to give love another chance. “He just makes me feel safe and very confident,” she said.
Known for her humour, Cardi joked that she delayed announcing the pregnancy until “I could close some deals first,” quipping that her parents still don’t know. “Now y’all can buy my album so I can buy Pampers and diapers and all that type of stuff,” she laughed.
Cardi B already shares three children with ex-husband Offset. Her full conversation with Gayle King airs Thursday, 18 September at 7 a.m. ET on CBS Mornings.
