Rapper and business mogul 50 Cent has settled a civil lawsuit stemming from a 2024 incident in which a photographer claimed he was knocked off an electric scooter by a member of the musician’s entourage.

The lawsuit was filed in January by photographer Guadalupe De Los Santos, who alleged that he was intentionally rammed off his scooter in Los Angeles last September after approaching 50 Cent’s vehicle following a book-signing event.

Although the rapper’s lawyers denied the allegations, a new court filing confirms that both parties have “reached an agreement in principle to resolve all claims” and are now finalising a formal settlement. The terms of the agreement, including any financial compensation, have not been disclosed.

The case had been scheduled for a hearing next month before the settlement brought proceedings to a close.

News of the agreement comes as 50 Cent intensifies promotion for his forthcoming Netflix docuseries, Sean Combs: The Reckoning, where he serves as executive producer. The four-part series, directed by Alexandria Stapleton, charts Sean “Diddy” Combs’ rise in the music industry, the expansion of his business empire, and his subsequent legal troubles.

Diddy was convicted in July on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, though he was acquitted of sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy charges. He received a 50-month prison sentence in October.

Sean Combs: The Reckoning is set to debut on Netflix on December 2.
