Cheeky bus driver kisses uniformed cops

A rogue bus driver who could not control his hormones has landed himself in trouble for allegedly hugging and kissing two uniformed police officers in public.

The detestable incident occurred at Bulawayo’s Long distance bus terminus in Makokoba on 23 August at around 4pm.

Khumbulani Ngwenya (30) met two female police officers, Constable Loreen Chipangura and Constable Priscah Ngaziitwe on their way home. He allegedly blocked their way, hugged and kissed them one after the other in full view of the public.

For his actions, Ngwenya was dragged before a Bulawayo magistrate, Miss Evelyn Mashavakure facing two counts of indecent assault as defined by Section 67 of the Criminal Law Codification and Reform Act Chapter 9:23.

He pleaded not guilty to both counts and the magistrate remanded him out of custody to 2 September for commencement of trial.

The State’s case led by prosecutor Taurai Hondo is that on 23 August around 4pm, constables Chipangura and Ngaziitwe were on their way home after knocking off from duty. The two were approached by Ngwenya from the front and he blocked their way.

“Ngwenya hugged and kissed Chipangura, before he turned to Constable Ngaziitwe whom he hugged and kissed once. The matter was reported to police leading to Ngwenya’s arrest,” said Hondo. – B-Metro
