Philip Chiyangwa is the new Cosafa president

ZIFA president Philip Chiyangwa is the new Cosafa president . Chiyangwa was elected unopposed in South Africa today.

Jordaan and the sitting president Suketu Patel had been set to contest the elections but withdrew.

Chiyangwa had expressed confidence in winning today’s election and has done just that only a year after taking over the reigns at ZIFA. Namibia’s Frans Mbidi was elected vice president unopposed as well.
