50 Cent isn’t happy. The 41-year-old mogul pays a visit to Jimmy Kimmel Live! and discusses why he was so upset about a specific scene from an episode of Power, which aired on Aug. 7.
Curtis’ character, Kanan, appears in a sex scene during the episode. Kanan shows off a little too much skin, in 50’s view, and now the “Many Men” rapper explains why it ticked him off so much. He says he knew his penis would appear in the show, but he didn’t think it would be in clear view.
50 relays a message that Power creator Courtney Kemp told him. He tells Kimmel, “I knew it was there, but in the original clips, it was darker. It wasn’t on, like, a big screen, like a life-sized version. It wasn’t like, an accident. Courtney was like, ‘I didn’t want to show it to you in the beginning, because I didn’t think you needed to see it at that point…You just gotta take one for the team.’”
Another reason Fif’ was so pissed is because his family members watch the show. He tells Kimmel, “My aunt sees the show, and she’s like, ‘I’m traumatized. She texted me like, ‘What the fuck? Why didn’t you tell me?’”
ICYMI, 50 took to IG a couple weeks back to voice his frustration on the matter. He wrote, “The Scene was hard enough man. It’s not a regular Sex scene. Courtney you of all people know this you wrote this shit. Ok I calm down Courtney calm my phone. BITCH I CAN’T BELIEVE YOU DID THAT WITH OUT TELLING ME FIRST, WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU!!!! Ok ok wait a little while before you call me SMH.”
In music-related news, Curtis recently co-signed up-and-coming NYC rapper Young M.A. You can watch the interview with Kimmel above via YouTube. Scroll down to watch another segment, in which 50 discusses using his son as “ladybait.” Keep it locked to XXL for more 50 Cent news.
