Adele gets a standing ovation after electrifying performance of her new track

Adele’s first live performance of her new track Water Under The Bridge drew a standing ovation on the Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon.

The 27-year-old delivered a triumphant rendition of the song as she continued to promote her record-breaking new album, 25, in the US.

Unlike her other new songs Hello and When We Were Young, Water Under The Bridge is more uptempo and had the audience – and Fallon – cheering.

During her interview, the star revealed the thing she is most excited for right now is Rihanna’s upcoming album.

‘I am very excited about Rihanna’s new record,’ she exclaimed.

‘I am on the edge – in a good way,’ she laughed. ‘I’m the biggest Riri fan. I love her. So I’m very excited for that record.’

She also opened up about the infamous stop-start of her latest record breaking album 25, for which songs were dumped when producer Rick Rubin told her he ‘didn’t believe’ her on any of the tracks.

‘I didn’t love the record,’ she admitted, adding that the rejected songs are ‘hiding, banished, not allowed, not good enough.’
