AFM pastor arrested

THE AFM pastor who grabbed headlines after he allegedly sexually attacked his female congregant was yesterday arrested on rape charges.

Pastor Makomo was said to have been picked up by police in Ruwa and taken to Harare Central Police station to assist with investigations.

The ‘man of cloth’ is standing accused of sexually abusing a female congregant and reports are that he has been suspended from the church over the same allegations.

He is being investigated under IR: 081151.

“Pastor Makomo has been arrested and he is on his way to the Harare Central police station. The woman went to lodge a complaint with the police and they swiftly reacted and picked him in Ruwa,” a source revealed.

Efforts to get a comment from police were fruitless as the Harare police spokesperson Tarirai Dube referred H-Metro to National police spokesperson, Chief Superintendent Paul Nyathi.

Chief Sup Nyathi was not answering his phone at the time of going to print. – H-Metro
